| | The Living Bible Cat No. SUN-9828
The Bible is the most widely distributed book in the world, having been translated into more than 2100 languages. It is believed that more than five billion copies of the Bible have been sold since 1815, making it the best-selling book of all time. The Bible is actually a collection of what was originally a number of independent books or stories. The majority of Christians refer to the Bible as the combination of the Old Testament and the New Testament, the latter describing the life and message of Jesus. These 4 historic colour films, produced for television in 1952, chronicle a number of these stories from the New Testament. | | The Original Adventures Of Superman Cat No. SUN-9839
"Up in the sky - look!" "It's a bird!" "It's a plane!" "It's SUPERMAN!" "Faster than a speeding bullet! More powerful than a locomotive! Able to leap tall buildings at a single bound, this amazing stranger from the planet Krypton, the Man of Steel - SUPERMAN! Possessing remarkable physical strength, Superman fights a never-ending battle for Truth and Justice, disguised as a mild mannered newspaper reporter, Clark Kent." Launched in September 1941 with the release of Superman, these cartoons were produced by Max Fleischer at the Fleischer Studios in Florida. These innovative science fiction spectaculars remain among the most technically polished examples of the 'animated short film' art form. The films move at a fast pace, with cuts coming faster and faster toward the climaxes, propelled by Sammy Timberg's dynamic musical scores. Special effects involving fires, rays, and explosions set the screen ablaze. Superman Volume 1 Superman Volume 2 Superman Volume 3
